The drinks and appetizers are amazing. Try the chilicheese bread (Indian food meets comfort food), and the Paneer Tikka (sounds simple but tastes incredible). The Brambles are my new favorite drink.
Casualclass with a playful wink. Start at the craft cocktail bar (signature punch!), try the whole menu (crispyokra, prawns, porkvindaloo - YUM!!!), repeat often. Love this place.
Contemporarytrendy Indian with amazing monkey character and details throughout. Incredible service, drinks and food. Favorites: Tabdoori chicken tikka, munkey lamb biryani, hard boiled eggs.
Great drinks especially the Pimm's No.1 Cup, beautiful interiors and always classymusic. Try the porkvindaloo and the gajar halwa. They can do no wrong, trust me!
Away from the clamorous mess of second avenue, this neighborhood jewel is one part Commonwealth, one part expat -- shaken with a twist of whimsy. The paani puri are fun. The cocktails are spectacular.
Butter Ckn Tikka Masala was in a tasty & light sauce; Saag Paneer too salty; Naan was thin & not too dense; Cauliflower too vinegary &undercooked. If only seating was less cramped & in brighter space!
Ordered the GardenVegetableKorma and savored its buttery texture and aromatic spices. Also ordered a side of Bombay Aloo, simply small cubed potatoes with cooked in spicy goodness. Delicious!
More like a bar with great vibe that serves decent indian food. Cauliflower side and Pani Puuri were not very good. Chicken and shrimp entrees did not have enough flavor or kick
New York City's first dedicated "craft cocktail" bar on the Upper East Side -- The Drunken Munkey -- serving a selection of classic cocktails, wines, spirits and cordials alongside the comfort of Indian cooking. The Drunken Munkey is a playful throwback to the times of Colonial India.
