Ah Leong San: Go to the back of the mansion and you'll find a nice little cafe in the kitchen of the mansion. It is kept just as it was in the past plus they serve a pretty good chendol.
Travel + Leisure: A stylish, eight-room hotel. Take a 20-minute taxi ride to George Town to explore the street food scene or taste the hotel’s assam laksa (tamarind-infused fish soup).

Josephine Neoh: Must try out their Salmon, is very tasty with their special sauce mix with ebiko.. The only thing they need to enhance is their speed of cooking..

D C: Great cozy cafe that serves very good coffee using award winning Aussie beans. A good selection of fresh pastries are available daily. Small and nice ala carte menu for breakast and lunch.
D C: Love their Nasi Lemak. A good choice of home made cakes are available too. Small but adequate menu if you are not fussy. Their Jawa Mee is also recommended.
D C: Very small nyonya menu. Only opens for lunch and closes on Sunday. Sells only set lunches with a few side dishes. Nasi Ulam and Nyonya Laksa are nice. Lobak and Spring Rolls are disappointing.
D C: One of the best place for laksa in town. Traditional and authentic assam laksa with prawn crackers. Gravy is thick and very aromatic, nyonya laksa is also available on weekends.
D C: My 2nd tip here. The latte is superbly awesome. Kudos to the barista. One of the best in town. Try it and you will know what I meant. Small seating area, packed on weekends.

D C: The iced chocolate is quite good, signature sandwiches are nice but pretty common. Nice cosy ambience but somehow the staffs don't really complement the place. Staffs are robotic and lack PR skills.

D C: Their Ethiopian "Red Cherry" Latte is really good. Smooth with fruity flavour, reasonably priced too. Nice cosy environment with spacious seating area. A good small food menu is available.
D C: Cosy nice ambience, seats are limited. Serves strong coffee with a small food menu. Entrance is at the back of the outlet, hence "The Backyard". The late LKY mural by Ernest can be found here.
Daniel Phoon: A very cool place to chill at any time of the day! Try the salmon waffles. Don't forget to help yourself with the cards, board games and books stored at the cabinet!
NigellegiN: Coffee is great here, same goes to their cakes as well. A really nice spot for people to have some photo shooting session. Would be a pleasant day waking from this place.
Gaik Tian Ong: Rm5 if you bring Student ID. Rm15 for mykad holder and rm30 for non mykad holder. Nice 3D arts with guide on which angle to snap better pictures. But nothing much to do other than taking pictures.
Julia Mahir: The best naan & tandori set in town!! And don't forget to try the Claypot Briyani Chicken/Lamb. (Also visit Kapitan @ Queensbay Mall and Perda.)
Grayden Goon: Try their Paleo series, especially Eggplant Niku Stack with Beef/Chicken, and Paleo Butterfish. Filter coffee, red & black tonic from the Spacebar is awesome af. By all means, try out smoothies too!
