- Staff PicksFebruary 25, 2016Fried green tomatoes are this week's trending taste and this joint in Harlem is worth the trip! Considered one of the best BBQ joints in the city, this place is a meat (and tomato) lover's paradise.
- Elizabeth MaiuoloJune 10, 2016we had the full rack and a few appetizers (as the sides didn't grab our eyes). Fried green tomatoes were ok but the pulled pork sliders were amazing!!! The full rack was
- Best BBQ in NYC. The best ribs and brisket, very good pulled pork. Try the Mac & cheese, whipped sweet potatoes, and Syracuse salt potatoes as sides. Oh, not to mention the cornbread... So delicious
- Mike FriedlichMarch 26, 2017Amazing place. Chicken Wings, pulled pork, and brisket are the best I have ever had. Chocolate Ice Box Pie is amazing, and the French Fries are great too. Ribs arent that good though.
- Time Out New YorkJuly 18, 2018The bluesy, bare-brick hall slings jalapeño-crowned Texas brisket; fleshy, pull-off-the-bone pork ribs; and thick-battered fried green tomatoes drizzled with cayenne-buttermilk ranch dressing. Read more
- Suzanne XieFebruary 21, 2016Get the wings, deviled eggs, BBQ pork fried rice and finish with the chocolate ice box pie. That's a meal!!(Got the ribs but they aren't as fall-off-the-bone as imagined. I prefer blue smokes.)
- PaddyMarch 19, 2016Really good BBQ and soul food place on the very west side of the city. We got a 3 meat combo plate. Brisket was just like you'd find in Texas, sausage was moist and tasty and the ribs were great too.
- Mahammatt BabaJune 20, 2016Had the Memphis chop with the baked beans, sweet potatoes, creole potatoes and Mac and cheese. Wasn't a big fan of the beans, the potatoes. The sandwich was very good as was the Mac and cheese
- Kelsey SmithMay 6, 2015I had the Cuban with Mac and cheese and salted potatoes. It was one of the most delicious meals I have had in a while. The two sides were amazing!! Definitely recommend this place
- Erik CintronAugust 11, 2016New York has good BBQ. We might not have the open pit. But the recreation is divine. Combined with that New York service and drinks. This place is gigantic , fun and fairly priced. Off the west side!
- You can't go wrong with the Tres Niños (pulled pork, ribs, AND brisket) with a double side of Syracuse style salt potatoes, but they'll have to roll you out the door.
- dawn.in.newyorkJanuary 31, 2016Wings and brisket are good too, but it's all about ribs in this place! Totally worth the trip to all the way up on the west side in Manhattan.
- A transplant from Syracuse and a long-time NYC fave, this spot has great BBQ food and a pretty sizable offering of great beers. They're great for groups and now have an event space for parties.
- Ms HeleneDecember 8, 2012The nuevo sampler plate with BBQ ribs, 1/4 chicken and 2 slices beef brisket, 2 selected sides and cornbread $15.95. Beef was a little chewy but ribs and chook amazing. Best sides squash and corn!
- Ade LeriSeptember 18, 2017I made reservations because I heard it's quiet a wait, I have to say that the food was delicious and our waiter was very friendly. I definitely look forward going back
- What's Good HereAugust 8, 2014Save this idea for a great day out. Bike up the Hudson Greenway up to the Little Red Lighthouse. Stop here to enjoy some of NYCs top BBQ. Plenty of seating. Rent bikes at Bike & Roll @ 12th & 43rd.
- Jesse BagelsDecember 22, 2015Nothing - NOTHING - tops the wings (and the bleu cheese) and the deviled eggs, but go crazy anyway! Pro tip: If you do the big meal deals (which you should) swap out the half chicken for WINGS.
- FoodtoEatJuly 27, 2012Absolutely phenomenal BBQ with a fun atmosphere. Order the "Sweetheart Deal for Two" for BBQ and four sides! The Roasted Whipped Sweet Potatoes with Spicy Nut topping is out of this world!
- Lee HoffmanApril 25, 2013Fried Green Tomatoes AMAZING! The brisket is the best I've ever had (ask for it extra lean if you like it that way). The collard greens are also very good.
- James GreenOctober 1, 2014The Swag Sampler is a great if you just want a bite of each starter. The portions are big, the prices decent, and the beer varied. The sides are awesome, but I was a bit disappointed by the cornbread.
- Best BBQ around. I love the wango tango wings. Also, the salt potatoes are unreal. Even for someone who has had a lot of salt potatoes growing up these are like no others.

- Corey NeilsSeptember 21, 2014Food was great! Always busy! Deviled eggs on the menu! They could use a little spicing up, but still tasty. The rib slabs at huge and the service was good for a late Sunday brunch.
- Chelsea BalkanJanuary 27, 2013#FabuLIST big ass pork plate and ribs are to die for! The best sides are fried rice (my fav), corn bread, coleslaw and corn. Love their bbq sauce options too. Mac and cheese wasn't anything special.

- jasmine jeffersonFebruary 25, 2017Always been a favorite place of mine. Bartenders are so sweet and the food is even better and I'm usually picky about BBQ. Definitely get the Donkey Punch too
- HectorDecember 22, 2010As recommended, Fried Green Tomatoes and Mac & Cheese are a must. If too packed, bar may be okay for 2/3 ppl. Excellent ribs.
- J BriggsJanuary 10, 2014Tasty ribs. Brisket good-could be hotter. Sides are very small. Salt potatoes, fried rice, and cole slaw are solid. Mac & cheese is overhyped. Knowledgeable servers, FAST service and CHEAP prices
- This place is phenomenal and does BBQ very well. Stand out must try's are: Wango-tango sauce (on their wings or ribs), blue cheese dressing, Salted Potatoes, and Mac-and-cheese.
- Ms HeleneJanuary 2, 2013The menu pricing encourages you to try their samplers which comprise 3 varieties of meats. I had one with chicken, pork ribs and beef brisket with 2 sides and corncake for $15.95. Value and taste!
- ᴡᴡᴡ.Graham.linodxz.ru DavisAugust 20, 2014Don't miss the habernero BBQ sauce. Really enjoyed the Memphis pulled pork sandwich. High quality pulled pork. Fries were better than the Mac and cheese ad a side.
- There's almost always an enormous wait for a table, but you can order quick take-out from the friendly staff in the back and enjoy some amazing Mango Tango wings and ribs back at home.
- ZenFoodsterJanuary 10, 2014Stars here that outshine the rest of the menu items are the Fried Green Tomatoes app, BBQ wings or any BBQ or BBQ jerk chicken dish, collard greens & BBQ fried rice sides! ;9
- Harlem AmbassadorApril 9, 2013Follow the crowds packing them in for Bar b cue goodness. Give them your name and come back in about an hour and you'll be about ready for your table. The smoked meats are legendary. Excellent sides.
- Dira B.April 29, 2013If you go on a Sunday, please expect a wait exceeding over an HOUR. I waited for about an Hour and 30 mins. However the food came quickly! Had 2 donkey punch each and the BBQ wings are a MUST!
- Ms. Dee BellJanuary 27, 2012A carnivores paradise. Rustic, woody, and brash! Food can pretty be described the same. Side dishes are hit or miss. Location is off the beaten path, but worth a trip. Drinks are great! Food coma!
- CityRover MediaJanuary 10, 2011Once you get a look at the menu, devote some time to the appetizer section, because the Jumbo BBQ Chicken Wings (with Wango Tango sauce) and Fried Green Tomatoes are well worth the artery clogging. Read more
- DailyCandyNovember 20, 2013It’s out-of-the-way location doesn’t deter crowds who chow down on short ribs, pulled pork, and sides of Syracuse salt potatoes — a staple that harks from the original brick-and-mortar upstate.
- amNewYorkOctober 10, 2011A rustic, appealing spot with whitewashed walls & West African décor, the funky-yet-traditional approach is best seen in dishes like salade Nicoise, escargot and coq au vin. High energy, great music.
- Stephanie P.September 2, 2013Deliciously flavorful BBQ!! Gotta say though - the pulled pork, brisket and Mac & Cheese (as AMAZING as they are here) are better at their Brooklyn location.
