A bit touristy (locals and foreigners) but lots of great bars, restaurants, shops and teahouses. Scenic area worth a visit.
Great place of you're in Chengdu for a quick stop! Check out all the food, but with tourist sites comes poorer quality and more expensive prices. If you have time find more authentic spots to eat
Remember to book in advance if you want to hold a panda at the Panda Breeding and Research Center as they only let a limited number of people hold one each day.
Love TaiKoo Li! Get your hair done at Toni&Guy, grab a burger at Blue Frog, stop for a coffee at the Special Starbucks Reserve store, or read a book in the basement shop Fangsuo.

Good foreigner stuff (the price is not bad), they have a little coffee shop inside and a little but very nice Playground for the kinds.
