In order to complete this route, it is recommended that you head towards the peak Zekova Glava early in the morning, around 8am.
Troglava is one of the peaks of Bjelasica, at 2072 meters above sea level. You will pass it by on your way from eco katun Vranjak to the peak Zekova Glava.
Your mobile phone signal will be excellent, because all relays and base stations required for the area surrounding Bjelasica were placed exactly on the top of this peak.
These are gathered in an enclosed circle in which you will not be able to enter because it is controlled by the Army of Montenegro. In any case, it looks very interesting.
When you arrive at the peak Zekova Glava, you'll see the first lake of our tour - Pešića Lake. It is situated in a valley below this peak.
Follow the path and head down to the lake, where you will find a small summer pasture. The lake is surrounded on one side by interesting beech trees, atypical for this altitude.
From Pešića Lake, the path leads to the top of the Crna Glava ("Black Peak"), named so because it is covered with black pine.
At the top of the mountain, you can sign your name in a book, or, if hiking, stamp your book with a stamp located there. This peak is the highest peak of Bjelasica, 2013m high.
From Crna Glava you can see Kolasin, Mojkovac, Andrijevica and Berane, and on a clear day you can see almost all the wreaths of Montenegrin mountains.
From this peak you can also see Ursulovačko Lake, which is the second lake we will visit on this tour.
On the way from Crna Glava to Ursulovačko Lake you will pass by this interesting cliff that is shaped like an elephant.
When going towards the lake, through the young forest, you will see a 5-pined pine tree - "Molika" - which is endemic to the central part of the Balkan Peninsula and is protected, therefore, by law.
In this region, you will encounter plenty of blueberries during the month of August. In late July and early August you can also find wild raspberries.
Aside from their delicious flavour, the leaves of the plant on which blueberries grow are used for preparing tea which is good for the treatment of diseases of the urinary and respiratory tract.
The coast of Ursulovačko Lake is a wonderful place to rest and snack. The name of this lake is derived from the Latin word Ursus, meaning bear.
Ursulovačko Lake has the highest altitude, located 1902 m above sea level, and can only be reached by foot.
Nature lovers often camp out at this location, as the lake water is extremely clear during the summer, and swimming is very tempting. You can also fill up your water supply on the coast of this lake.
The tour continues, descending through the forest to the pasture of Suvodo, where only a few households spend their summers.
In this region, as in a few others, you'll often come across St. John's wort, medicinal plants - the above-ground portion of the plant is used in medicine.
A water stream passes through this pasture in the fall and spring, but dries up in summer - hence the name, Suvodo (Dried out).
Before you begin to climb again, you will come across another spring of water. So do not fear - you will not get thirsty on your Bjelasica trip.
The next attraction, amid the hornbeam forest, is Ševarina - lake that is drying up and soon to be extinct.
This glacial lake is at an advanced stage of disappearance; plants that grow in it make it more like a swamp However, it is still quite beautiful.
Summer pasture Šiška is located between two lakes - Ševarina and Šiško Lake. It doesn't offer accommodation for tourists, but is very interesting to see.
This is the first lake of this route which belongs to the National Park Biogradska Gora.
After a small break at this location, we leave behind the car path and climb the marked trail to where the path curves and leads to the Svatovsko (Wedding) Cemetery.
The name which means "Wedding Cemetery" comes from the legend of the nuptials which took place during a sudden, howling storm. The wind always blows on this location.
Otherwise, this location is known to be a small archaeological site because it is assumed that the people who lived in this area, before the immigration of the Slavs, buried their dead here.
This is also a favorite spot among the botanists: Svatovsko Groblje is the home of endemic plant species Sunčanica (Helianteum) and Zvončac (Hypericum).
From Svatovsko Groblje the trail takes you to the Bendovac lookout. From here you can see the entire forest covering the National Park Biogradska Gora, including Biogradsko Lake in the middle of it.
Right below Bendovac lookout you will find the summer pasture Dolovi Lalevića, which is home to a few households during the summer and early fall.
We recommend the Damjanović cottage for making a break for dinner, which will be prepared from the freshest ingredients produced at that location.

You can order a taxi to take you from Dolovi Lalevića to Biogradsko Lake. It should cost between 25 and 30 euros, and the phone number is 19501. Taxi needs about an hour to get to you from the town.
Accommodation at the Biogradsko Lake costs 11.5 Eur per person, if you want to stay in one of the bungalows. If you have your own tent, you can camp for the price of 3 Eur.
