Žabljak is one of the best vacation resorts in Montenegro, very interesting during winter as well as during summer time. It's about 130km away from Podgorica and easy accessible by car.

This camp is placed about 1 km away from the center of town, which makes it nice and relaxing, but at the same time close enough to start exploring Žabljak right away.
You cannot - and you shouldn't - avoid this place on your Durmitor tour. It's one of the biggest and most beautiful lakes on the mountain. It's lies at 1422m above sea level.
You should leave "Auto kamp kod Boće" early in the morning and take a walk to Crno Lake. This walk is a couple of kilometers long, but it is for sure worth your time.
Before you get to the lake, you'll have to pay the entrance fee which costs 2 Eur per person.
More interesting facts: the shape of this lake resembles number 8. The lake is made up of the big and the small lake, which are connected.
Water from the lake flows into 2 rivers: water from the bigger lake flows to Komarnica and then to Piva, while water from the smaller one flows underground and into the river Tara.
From Crno Lake, walk continues to Mlinski Potok. This is a small river that flows into Crno Lake. There is also an old mill, after which this place got its name (Mlin = Mill)
Local people believe that the water from Barno Lake can help healing all types of skin diseases.
Another Durmitor lake - Zminje Lake. It was named after the legend of the snakes. There were so many snakes in this region, that it was very dangerous and almost impossible to approach the lake.
Snakes have completely disappeared suddenly, and it's a very rare occasion to see a snake around here.
Crepulj poljana is next on our list - a meadow through which goes the trail that leads to a great outlook - Planinica.
From the Planinica Peak you will see all of the Durmitor massif, and almost all major peaks of the mountains. From this point, head back towards Žabljak.
After a day at the mountain, here you can get some rest and a place to sleep, as well as some homemade food.
