I love how it's literally in the neighborhood, it would just be a 10 min walk for me, but when we drive it's only a 3 minutes! Such a beautiful place, don't forget to buy tickets for the mini train!!
Took my son here to see the place and we ended up becoming members. It is absolutely worth it to be members especially if you have children. It's a place where they can run around and enjoy nature.

Walk to the Bird Observation Station where hundreds of bird species have been viewed. My favorite are the Canadian geese, ducks and turtles. It's next to the rose garden. Don't miss the camelias!!

Grab a water at the front gate. You'll need it when you're half way to the Boddy House. Great place to let kids run free. Go after Noon to capture the "golden hour" for the best photos.
Find a quiet spot, and start reading. Best day ever. Come on a free day, even better. Usually it's six bucks, which isn't bad considering you'd otherwise be getting a latte for similar price.
