The Shanghainese food here is great. Order the Shanghai noodles, eggplant, braised pork in brown sauce. also the yellowfish and seaweed dish is the best version of fish sticks I've ever had.
The soup dumplings are great, but the pan fried ones are bar none the best I've ever had - DO NOT MISS THIS. Also get sesame noodles and save room for the Chinatown Ice CreamFactory across the street
"Fried Tiny Buns" are the renowned Shanghai "shengjianbao" snack, and at Green Bo eight of these fluffy, oversized bao are more than a meal. Bring friends and share any of the dim sum. It's all good.
Chinatown. Best pan fried dumplings EVER EVER EVER. Sesame noodles, soup dumplings, scallion pancakes are also always on my order. I like it all here. Ice cream across the street afterwards.
The pork soup dumplings were so good (the soup is not the sour soup). Also the shrimp with Chinese cabbage OMG so good. We tried the seafood ones too and do not recommend. Love this place.
We came for the dumplings - especially the veggie ones - and were v disappointed. We didn't finish them and gave them away to a homeless guy in the subway. At least the chow fun was super delicious !
Service was fast. Scallion pancakes are a must! Pork and crab soup dumplings were good but the crab was the winner! Dumplings fill you up so come with an empty stomach!
pork soup dumplings were flavourful and juicy. No need for vinegar on these babies (and actually felt like the mix took away from the dumplings a bit.) Cash only and complimentary tea!
In my humble opinion, it's not as good as it uses to be. Still, the dumplings are a good option and all dishes are planned for sharing, so be sure to order a bunch of stuff for everyone to try.
Go for the pork soup dumplings, salted duckappetizer, smoked fish (carefully), and Shanghai kau fu. Stay for the stewedpork ball and fish belly/tail in Brown sauce.
Order some soup dumplings of course but also if you're a fan of cold sesame noodles this place makes some of the best in the city. I don't say this lightly.
If you want Chinese food in Chinatown that isn't Joe's Shanghai, you better come here. Cheap but incredibly delicious. Get the soup dumplings and spicy tofu dish.
“This is one of my favorites for authentic Chinese food when I'm missing home. This place has the best scallion pancakes in the city—a generous portion with just theright amount of crispiness.” Read more
Very uneven. We had rice cakes and broccoli with garlic sauce which were great. The duck and the dumplings were very disappointing. I won't come again.
You can easily eat your heart out for under $20. The scallion pancakes are the best in the neighborhood. Also try the eggplant and the fried pork dumplings. Read more
The food is good and reasonable not outstanding. It is served unevenly and did not remain hot. Service is friendly. Washrooms lacked towels and we're not very clean. Okay experience.
The soup dumplings are absolutely amazing. I always start with them. Some other things they do well include the spicy meatnoodle, veganduck, and beef broccoli.
We recommend ordering anything with "pea tips." They are a fantastically delicious little vegetable that your whole table will be chop-stick-sword-fighting over all meal.
Get the Pork and Crab Soup Dumplings, let them cool for a sec, nibble to test the waters, then pop them in your mouth whole - skip the vinegar. Revel in deliciousness.
