The challah bread French toast is TO DIE FOR. ASK FOR EXTRA ORANGE MAPLE BUTTER AND ENJOY EVERY SLICE! I live in Chicago, but my EVERY TRIP TO NEW YORK has to include the French toast here.
I have been coming here for about 8 or 9 years. The food used to be better, but it's returning back to its original glory. For breakfast/brunch try the blueberry pancakes and the crossaint sandwich.
Late night happy hour week nights after 10- 5 dollar cocktails. Get a Morningside Milkshake- it's a vanilla and chocolate martini! My favorite drink in NYC
Got a long HAIR baked into our coconut custard pie special. Manager, Alberto, tried to argue that not having to pay for the pie piece was all that needed to be done to make up for it. Un*fking* real.
Male sure you order everything you want when u order.. Because that will be the last time u see ur waiter.. Forget about refills, no hot sauce, extra napkins u have to ask someone else
I think this will be my last trip here. It really is too bad.... The food is so close to being very good, but canned spinach is just unacceptable. Yuck.
I also agree with the previous comments that the service isn't that great. Everyone was nice enough, but food takes a long time and the staff spends a lot of time gossiping.
