Highly recommend David's! The prices are good, the service was friendly and the food is great. Nice place to go, chill and eat good food. I had the chicken salad sandwich and the coffee is amazing!
Order the ropa viejo with moros and fried sweet plantain. Very delicious. Service at the window is reasonably quick. The staff doesn't speak English well. Will try the cafe cubano tonight!
When you need a pick-me-up, walk up to the window at David’s Café and order yourself a café Cubano (Cuban coffee). There are many varieties of potency so choose your poison wisely.
Open 24h right off Washington Ave where most of the clubs are. So if you feel drunk just grab something by the to go window !! Empanadas de Pollo o Carne y Cafe con leche !! Remember say gracias
Following Larios, Miami Culinary Tours will take you to David's Cafe. At this food stop in the food tour you'll enjoy a cuban coffee paired with a cuban pastry.
Remember when this place was about 1/10 of the size it is now? There was just one long faux wood countertop with backless swivel stools and you never knew who would come in & sit next to you.
Get the Cuban french toast- absolutely delicious. Amazing caffe con leche! If you order any eggs get the Cuban bread instead of whole wheat or white toast.
Good cubana food, reasonable prices n friendly, efficient service by SoBe standards. Most recent of several visits. Will return on next visit 2 SoBe. Milk flan dekiciosa
Was hoping to run into Chad Ochocinco since that's one of his fav spot. lol Had a light breakfast there, Oatmeal, and didn't stay long. Didn't really get to try their main dishes.would do again
Sit at da bar bcuz the service sucks but the food is excellent. 1 reason da service might suck is bcuz da tip is already included in the check. So there's no incentive for the waitress 2even try...
Thief!… Despite vowing never to go back to David’s Cafe after lousy food and service there... See http://lovemiamiblog.com/miami-restaurants/cuban/ for the rest of this review!
