Get some lunch at the (Jewish) deli downstairs and then wander through the exhibits. The gift shop is a random mix of high-end pieces from Israel and tourist junk like the Grumpy Cat book.
First exhibition seen here: Kubrick in the summer/fall of 2016, great museography with a perfect flow around his filmography and some wonderful set objects and annotated scripts.
Take a picture with the Allen Ginsberg mural on Yerba Buena Lane, and see the exhibition "Beat Memories: The Photographs of Allen Ginsberg" on view through Sept 8.

The main exhibit is Gertrude Stein. The astonishing and overwhelming exhibit is the work of Charlotte Salomon who died at 25 or 26 in Oswieswiecim. Amazing.
I see lovers rolling around in the grass or people sitting indian style in the grass eating their lunch. Don't do it. Every square inch of this place is drenched in dog emissions. Lovely plaza though.
Wish it was larger, and had more history to it. Went to see Jews on Vinyl and Maurice Sendak drawing exhibit before seeing Where the Wild Things are. Gift shop is great, but expensive. 4/5 stars.
If you are lucky enough to attend a program in Goldman Hall, look up. Those aren't random artsylines decorating the celing, but an interpretation of an old map of Jerusalem.
Walk around and experiment with different angles, featuring the blue building off of the museum. It’s one of the more interesting pieces of architecture in the city.
Interesting exhibit opening Feb 11 called "Our Struggle". French artist Linda Ellia tore up Mein Kempf and asked artists to comment on the pages. Read more
Do not miss their exhibitions, they are always excellent. My children got mesmerized by their exhibition on traditional Jewish Plates. Who could have guessed?
