Brittany RouilléApril 14, 2016Good place to work, lots of room and plugs, the wifi was a bit slow but it was good enough. They stop serving at 9 but let you stay till 9:30pm. No gluten free options :(
For drivers: Allow plenty of time for parking. Had to re-convene elsewhere with client recently as he couldn't get parked anywhere nearby. (Both of us coming from out of town and both love the venue.)- Savour the knowledge that the profits from this cosy cafe go to support community projects in the developing world. Hire back room for artistic performances/meet-ups. Enjoy live music most Fri nights.
- Also try the vegetarian quiche or the bagel with chicken & cashew nuts; both superb. More info on CG at www.commongrounds.co.uk. You could also head through nearby Botanic Gdns to the Ulster Museum.
- Related to my last tip: increased parking/walking time is worth it for the zucchini cake alone!
Loyalty stamp cards will get you a free hot drink after six purchases (vs. ten at Clements - which makes Common Grounds a good place for regulars).- Like this tip if you were asked what you wanted before being presented with a menu. Every. Damn. Time.
- Simple, but the muesli with chopped apple and banana is a winner. Scrambled eggs if you'd rather have something cooked.
- The wifi password is "redbrickwall". (last updated 6th May 2013)
Cinnamon scones like nothing you've ever tried before. You'll not be disappointed.
