Make sure you get there with time to spare. 2 drink + $12 min spend per person -- totally worth it! Pick the late night show for greater chance of known comics showing up. Amazing experience!!
Best comedy club in NYC. Every time I've gone a big name shows up to surprise the crowd with a set (like Louis CK, Damon Wayans &Colin Quinn). Always a fun time.
A cozybasement which happens to substitute as the best comedy club in the city. For $12 and two items, you get to see the some of the best comedians in New York. A village gem.
Iconic comedy club. Buy tickets in advance as it is immensely popular. Discover established and up and coming talk, with some star studded appearances if you’re lucky. Great value. No phone policy.
Always crazy and lively, and watch out cause you never know what famous comedian may pop in for an impromptu stand up presentation. Seen lots of celebs pop in and perform as well as hosting the night.
Famous from Louie, Comedian, & stories told about this legendary room. Booker Estee Adoram. Drop-ins Chris Rock,Dave Chappelle,Lou CK, NY’s best comics. Not for the sensitive. Classic NY comedy exprnc
Great for a night out with friends. They usually have a decent line up. You'll be kicked out after the show is done for the next group (all business), there are many places around one can get a drink.
Check the website after 5pm on the day of the show to try and get free cover. If not, make reservations at the Olive Tree Cafe next door. There's a two drink minimum but this place is worth it.
I love that you can make a spontaneous decision to come here, hang out in the standby line, and most likely get in and end up seeing great comedy and often unannounced special guests.
The Comedy Cellar is an absolute must-do NYC comedy experience. Big names will often show up to close the show. They pack the customers in tight. Buy your tix ahead of time online.
This place never disappoints. But for ultimate fun, go to the 12:15am show. All the comics and the audience are drunk so it's extra enjoyable. Make a reservation online.
We had great fun and the majority of the acts were great. I’d recommend going to one of the earlier shows as on our 11.30pm show a couple of the comedians literally said they couldn’t be bothered
If you've never been to a comedy club, make sure you come here for your first time. Great talent in a fun and interactive environment. Big name comics often do sets on any given night too!
Definitely a must visit if you are a comedy fan. You never know who is going to drop in and do a set. Just please dont be a douchebag and be disrespectful and talk while a performer is on.
Amazing best night! Highly recommend. Adam Devine from workaholics did a surprise stand up along with Dave Attell & Jeff Ross. So worth the money, must do here!
On the weekends, you can show up when the show before the one you want to see starts and put name on standby list. No need for the line, put name in, go drink and come back at showtime.Weekends only.
Unless you're ok with getting roasted, say no when they as you if it's ok to be put in the front row! If you're cool with that then go for it! Best seats in the house! 2 drink minimum PP.
This Manhattan comedy club is one of the best and most popular in NYC, showcasing some of the most hilarious acts like Louis C.K., Darrell Hammond, and Colin Quinn. Don’t miss the Olive Tree Café.
the best comedy club in New York City, also a great eatery next-door, the Olive Tree Cafe, very veg and veganfriendly. Some comedy greats I've met & gone back-n-forth with: Dave Attell & Colin Quinn
Incredible comedians. Laughed for 2 hours straight at 11:30pm show. Sad to have missed Aziz Ansari who made an appearance 3 consecutive days before! 2 x cocktails + cover charge works out quite $$$
Even without a reservation on a Friday night, you can get in by putting your name on the standby list 1 hour before the show starts. There's bound to be no-shows.
If you're looking for a fun night out, this is the place to go. The nights are never dull here with all the talented comedians that walk in through their doors.
In prefer the late night Nasty Show. Hit and miss but edgier. Also, go during the week if you want the random famous person (like Louis CK or Chris Rock) to try their material.
This is the place that puts all other comedy clubs to shame. If you didn't get tickets, show up about 1.5 hrs before showtime to get on the standby list.
who's ready to laugh? ...definitely make a reservation in advance for quick easy entry, nobody likes lines, and tweet at the comics and cellar, they are always responsive Read more
