Champignons Farcis, Spanish Tortilla, Salmon Carpaccio, any cocotte dish, and the lemon tart for dessert. Wines by glass, carafe of bottle. Top off with cappuccino or espresso at the end.
If you’re going for brunch try the french toast. It’s probably the best I’ve ever had. Great eggs and chorizo (BEC). Very attentive and friendly staff.
Dishes are all tapas style: small, over priced and delicious. Try the moules gratinees, mushroom appetizer and the hangar steak. They also know what they are doing with the cocktails.
One of my favorite places in NYC. Rafael is a true master of FOH service, and Sébastien's food is certainly among the best in NYC. The carrots and the piperade are highlights.
Brioche French Toast is uniquely done here! (Ask if available). The Cocotte Burger is pleasant for brunch - perfect size, perfect flavors. Eggs in a cocotte are great as well!
If you like mushrooms, try Te champignons farçis -- has chorizo! Also the cocottes (casserole dishes) are excellent! Great selection of wines too. Don't forget to say hello to Rafael! :)
Went back there again with my date. I normally find most French food a bit too dense for my taste, but this place balance the menu and the wine selection well. And yes, Rafael is the man.
Cocotte is an amazing little find. Quaint and romantic with crisp wines and small bites bursting with flavor. Day dreaming of their stuffed mushrooms as I type... mmm
It was unexpected (because finding a good french restaurant in New York is an hard work). Anyway, my girlfriend and I spend a wonderful time in Cocotte. We re-discover France here.
Nice place, pretty tiny but has good atmosphere. Dinner was good but not amazing especially for its price range. Haven't tried tapas, they might be a better deal compared to the regular dinner.
Pork cheeks and stuffed mushrooms were both good but not amazing. Pork cheeks were a little one note. Needed some kind of veggie to cut the fat other than potatoes.
