All the beaches around Aotearoa New Zealand beaches I love to head to. Some are surf beaches, some are calm, all have nice sand that you can walk out into the ocean in.
Clinty Minty: Take a chilli bin with ice and chilled drinks and food, take plenty of shade & sunscreen. Havelock North is your last stop for anything including fuel, before the 30 minute drive.
Clinty Minty: Take a chilli bin with ice and chilled drinks and food, take sunscreen but plenty of pohutakawa trees to seek shade. It's a quite a walk down to the beach and a long walk back up.
Clinty Minty: Amazing black sand beach, very hot to stand on so watch out, and magnetic so watch your electronics, they'll attract sand easily. Campsite and cafes nearby.
