Impeccable sound in the Bow Tie Chelsea Cinema's auditoriums and the select renovated auditoriums have very comfortable seats and leg room. One of the best theater going experiences I've had in NYC!
There are no recliner chairs here but the seats are comfortable, the prices good, and the movie selection great; everything from blockbusters to independent films.
Hedda Lettuce hosts Cinema Classics on Thursdays - get there early (there's a line!) for some truly great old movies at this fun, campy local tradition. Bonus: Rocky Horror midnight shows on weekends!
Post-Covid, this theater got one of the best upgrades in the city. It was already a quality destination, but now there’s alcohol, milkshakes, free Wi-Fi, and seat and design remodeling. Check it out.
Comfortable seats that are big and recline far back. Plus there’s plenty of space in front of the seat so you can leave when you realize you’re in the wrong theatre without bothering anyone.
I love the comfy reclining seats--but not if you're in one of the first few rows--the seats don't recline enough for me to be able to look up at the screen. Had to tilt my head to the side.
Being able to reserve seating in advance makes going to the movies easier and more relaxed. Plus, they've got so many flavors of sweet and savory popcorn!
Overall it's good but there were some problems during our visit. The place is nice and modern but our theatre was FILTHY. Popcorn and spilled drinks everywhere. No sound until we complained.
I love this theatre- total throw back with no bells and whistles but a really nice staff. They have someone greet you at the start of every movie- always cheer them on!
We have our ups and downs, but we still care for our guests, unlike other cinemas I've went to. :) <3 we try to decorate a stand for a movie and have some displays around the theatre, to keep it alive
Seeing "The Avengers" this Friday evening? Be sure to stop on the second floor for samples of Body Armor Drink, Valducci's Pizza, & comic books from Manhattan Comics! Also try your hand at trivia!
This is a relatively good theater to get seats. The machines inside the lobby usually don't have a line. Event companies conduct special screenings here with gift bags.
Strange management decisions now have staff making dull announcements before each movie and checking ticket stubs outside each auditorium. Good use of your workforce, fellas.
