This is the sort of spot that makes you wish you lived around the corner. I loved the lamb ragù pappardelle, and simply trust whatever the staff suggests for wine.
Welp, it’s absolutely as good as they said. And the atmosphere is on point. The wait won’t seem too long, especially once you have a drink. Now when can we bring Dishoom to NYC?
Proper American craft beer under a rail arch run by a couple of guys from Boston and Baltimore and a cute dog named Cassie. And: picklebacks!
Impeccably-designed space, from the cozy front room, to the sumptuous middle area, to the light-filled back room. Coffee was great, as was the ham & caramelized onion sandwich.
Yep, the salt beef beigel with mustard and pickle is the move. Just don’t compare it to bagels in NYC. It’s a different beast entirely.
It’s all as good as they say. The salmon pairs near-magically with the endive in the green bean salad. But I’m sure everything tastes magic, so go wild.
Cool space under a rail arch with a bunch of other cool-seeming bars next door. Great alternative if you can’t get into Brawn for pasta.
I’d spend so much time at this bar if I lived here. Not because it’s outstanding or anything, but because it’s spacious and comfortable and there’s a long beer list and the curry fries make me happy.
Perfect late night spot in Bethnal Green. They make a mean negroni and will play Illmatic the whole way through upon request.
