Cascal overall has amazing food. We tried the shortrib, scallop ceviche, and of course the cascal paella and everything was delicious and fresh. Definitely try the jalapeño margarita as well! A+!
Great date place. Food is a bit expensive, but it is Mountain View so it is to be expected. Overall worth it if you are looking for a romantic evening and willing to spend some money.
Solid tapas joint. Lots of great dishes, but don't miss the Scallop Ceviche, Roasted Chile Relleno, Lamb Chops, Beef Short RibAdobo, & Braised Pork Belly. Read all about it on WinstonWanders below!! Read more
In order to get the happy hour prices you have to stay in the too small happy hour holding pen inside, which is HOT if it's above 70 outside. Open up the patio for HH Cascal!
Absolutely loved the food. For vegetarians, potato gratin and cornpoblano saute are the best. Loved the banana leafchicken too. Though the sparkling winesangria was average.
Exceptional place for sangria and cocktails! Food...not that good; tapas style, lacks flavor - bland; amazing staff: very quick and pleasantly helpful!
At this time, this is the best place for happy hour in Mountain View. All the happy hour food selections are great, and they make good margaritas here.
At first glance, the sangria looks Manhattan-level expensive, but it's worth getting. Wicked good, and they don't overload the pitcher with ice, so you get your money's worth. Pork belly delicious too
Deserts look incredible, but they are just average. You can see the Spanish Flan on the left picture and CaramelizedPecanCheesecake on the right. They look way much better than they taste.
Good restaurant, nice food... but if you go Friday or Saturday it's really noisy, very loud Mexican music... I could not stay!Weekdays it always better!
Great place for happy hour (M-F 3:30 - 6:30). Fried calamari, mushroomempanadas, sizzling shrimp & ahi tuna are all fantastic. Try the sparkling sangria! Great live music & dancing on Fri/Sat nights. Read more
The place is packed so you might think the food is delicious. Great after work place for cocktails but tapas is just okay. Lamb was tough, flatbread was flavorless but liked the empanadas.
I would not call the place a true tapas place especially in terms of atmosphere. More a mall ambiance than Ramblas, if ambiance at all. Food and service decent, although not good enough to go back.
