1 subway stop on the 7 from Grand Central for NYC's only Michelin💫Mexican. Go for 🌮 (chorizo, 👅 were favorites, skip 🐟 ), and mole is no joke. Tres leches for dessert is good to share 3-4 ways.
One of the few places open until 11 pm in Long Island City, go to Casa Enrique for the al pastor tacos and the hearty pozole. What really is the shining star though is the mole de piaxtla. Read more
Step into Casa Enrique and pretend you're in Mexico City. Start with a margarita (take advantage of their specials), guacamole (order it spicy), and sopecitos de chorizo. Carry on from there.
very good guacamole and tacos. lady friend loved it more than I did and it’s as pricey as you’d expect a Michelin starred place to be (but no more?) but the space is nice and the drinks were good too
It is said that a Mexican Restaurant has to be rated by its Mole, so this one is exceptional!!! In addition ceviche and guacamole are amazing and prices are fair. Its a must in LIC!
The brisket tacos are a winner! Start with guacamole and end with the chocolate pot de creme. The spicycucumber margarita is one of the best. Well worth the trip from manhattan
Cosme and Luis Aguilar, the chef and GM respectively, pay homage to their late mother with traditional plates, including some based on her recipes, such as chicken mole and cochinito chiapaneco Read more
Best Mexican in NYC! Simple home cooking w/ amazing flavours & a lovely environment all at a good price. If you're lucky enough 2 b there when the head chef Cosme is there be sure to chat with him.
Delicious brunch. cucumber margaritas and michaladas are fantastic. The guacomole is a must and their dipping sauces are great - I had a whole jar of the green sauce with my huevoschorizo. YUMS!!
The mole and the enchiladas were really good , the attention of the waitress was good ! And the music was really nice with a volume reasonable / muy Bueno Buena comida . Atencion y nada caro
A classierneighborhood spot compared to most New York Mexican restaurants, with slightly upscale takes on home-style Mexican dishes. Go for the rajas con crema and the stewedpork ribs.
Real authentic Mexican, great food, great drinks and staff were lovely. Enchiladas and Tacos were great, very reasonably priced. Try the MargaritaDaiquiri!
Great service, charming space, busy even on a Monday! The margaritas, enchiladas with green sauce & chocolate pot de creme were heavenly. Dishes are on the small side for sharing but tasty! Go here!
Holy guacamole! Seriously, the guac is delicious (get it spicy). Totally reasonable prices, especially if you go splitty-splitty on the tacos with someone.
We’re drooling over the ostiones empanizados with chilimayo ($16). And don’t even get us started on the pescado con elote with cheese-smothered corn (market price, but always totally reasonable). Read more
Some of the best Mexican in the boroughs. Reasonably priced for being so fancified as well. All tacos ruled, as did the entrees (mole). Guac actually might've been a low light
Serving food from the Chiapas region of Mexico. Taste: Chicken mole and cochinito chiapaneco (guajillo-marinated baby pork ribs). The white-painted spot features a garden and works from Queens artistsRead more
Finally tried this place after walking by for over a year. It's amazing! The drinks are great, house made guac is delicious and the entrees are awesome. Worth the wait.
Get all the variety of tacos they make and share them with the table! They are great. But be sure to get the chicken mole, it is outstanding! Tres Leches to finish!
Amazing authentic, no frills Mexican food like my BFF's abuela used to make. Highly recommend the spicy guac, delicious molechicken, Chipotle meatballs and pastor tacos.
Mole is super good, tacos are always on point with Chorizo and Lengua. Skirt steak, red snapper - can't go wrong. Wash it down with agua con chile or a sangria. #winwinwin
Mojitos are awesome!!! The mole was as authentic as my aunts!! As was the lamb!! Took me back to my childhood! Will totally be back. And their rice!! Soooo good!! Flavor in everything!! Yummmm
one of the most accessible michelin-starred restaurants in New York, and the only one featuring Mexican cuisine. the chicken mole is the signature dish
Some of the best salsas I've EVER had. Go splitsies with someone on tacos al pastor and the mesquite chicken tacos. Slather with the aforementioned salsa. Wash down with 2-3 delicious margs.
Head to New York's only Michelin-starred Mexican restaurant for beef tonguetacos, chicken smothered in a heady mole sauce, and a monster crabtostada. Read more
All their food is super tasty, but their chicken tacos are really great and they have some very interesting flavored margaritas that are all made with fresh, house-made ingredients.
We’re drooling over the ostiones empanizados, aka fried oysters with chilimayo. And don’t even get us started on the pescado con elote with cheese-smothered cornRead more
Tacos are delicious! However, it can get a little loud so if you can wait, asking for a table in their pretty garden /back area might be worth it for the atmosphere.
This is not sloppy burrito Mexican. This is family recipes, lovingly made by a native cheftrained in French cooking. Balanced flavors, complex mole, love the sopes. Very close to 7 Train too.
This is a happening spot and the food is delicious! Also our waitress was lovely, wish I remembered her name. I got the enchiladas with both sauce options... Yum
It’s all very good, but after ordering almost the entire menu, there are other places in the city that do any given dish better, and it’s not much of an experience.
Try the cow tonguetacos. I know, sounds sketchy, but it's delicious & tastes like beef cheeks. Also the tres leches cake and flan are worth saving room for dessert.
Girl. Live your very best life and get the guacamole. You don't even need to order anything else and every other chops and guac will taste like sandpaper after this, promise.
