Lovely Romanian restaurant in the heart of the Old City. The architecture of the building is impressive, the menu is authentic, the food is delicious and it's not expensive either. Not to be missed!

The place is a must if you visit Romania. It's like a true historical restaurant from mediaval Count Dracula times. The best atmosphere you can get in all the country with amazing dishes and music.

This restaurant offers traditional Romanian cuisine in a formidable setting: a wonderful fin-de-siecle building in the historical center of Bucharest. A group of gypsies plays music every evening.

Very nice architecture, very traditional. Food was good enough the only negative would be the service. The staff was very quick and efficient, but obviously tired enough to present a smile to us..

Touristic. Always always full. But it worths a stop. Service is very good and super fast despite the crowd. Food is not bad. Inside is amazing

The best place! Yes, most of the time is really crowded but you'll love it! The interior design is awesome, the beer and food is great. It's like they say, old but gold. Bon appetit!

Great place. Building is beautiful and the food is great.Tried the pork belly (seen in the picture).The unpasteurized beer is interesting; but not amazing flavor. Still nice to try something different

This is probably the most famous traditional Romanian restaurant in the country. The shows start around 10:30pm and you can attend the crowd that dance with the dancer

A must seen in Bucharest, especially for lunch as it is not overcrowded. Nice dishes, well preserved. A nice mixture of lpcals and tourists. And it is allowed to smoke, whatelse do I need :)

We did not make any reservation, food is tasty - tried knight’s dish - reasonable prices -I love desserts but traditional one which is romanian doughnuts, not definietly for my taste-so dont reccomend

Place was good, maybe too big, looks like food factory, but nice atmosphere. Great starters & excelent wine. Dissapointed with my t-bone, looking good but a bit chewy. Huge deserts - 430g doughnut :)

A must-visit for tourists. Great selection of Romanian food. You have to try the locally brewed beer and I would also recommend the Romanian soup. The service was a bit so-so though.

Amazing atmosphere and great time for your visiting Bucharest. You should try Papanasi which is a giant donut covered in Jelly and sour cream! Amazing dessert!

I have been going to Caru cu Bere for many years. It was a great restaurant with it authentic soul and delicious and original food.Nowadays, I can not find the same taste. And it's commercialized.

A must to enjoy the "belle epoque" city Bucuresti was before communism. Good food, fast and friendly service. Big beers, knuckke an sauerkraut. Romanian classical dishes. Order a lot of garlic paste!

Best Romanian restaurant we’ve been. And we’ve been in many. The place is very beautiful and all dishes very excellent. Additionally the prices are really moderate for such a wenn known place.

This is where all tourists go in Old Town. It has good food, music, and dancers. It's a busy, busy place. it's not the kind of place for a quiet conversation.

The place is amazing, you feel like you are in a cathedral, very peacefull. if you go between 13:00-18:00 try lunch menu, its very cheap and good and the portions are big.

All the food is excellent but if you have a sweet tooth like me :) the chocolate cake and cheese cake are amazing, also the Romanian dessert papanasi.

The oldest pub in Bucharest! You have to try for lunch or dinner 🍴 student menù every lunch on the week, cheep and good!

We recommend stopping at the bar for a beer (very, very good beer here) and soaking up the atmosphere. Go for Romanian food. Super cheap. Read more

Like a beergarten. Very friendly staff, good and hearty food. Better not to sit at tbe basement, because its damp and bad acoustic. Outside its way better. Great place for meat and beer!

The oldest German beer hall in Bucharest, serving hearty German and Romanian food. Very meat heavy, strong beer, and cheap prices. They also have free Wi-Fi.

Very good traditional dishes and cheap lunch menus until 18:00 (5€ - soup, main course and desert). The architecture is beautiful and the stuff is very friendly.

You must book a table in advance because it's very crowded. Tasty traditional Romanian food, friendly waiters and entertaining atmosphere due to the music and the dancers.

Traditional place. I ordered Ciorba de Legume and pork ribs and it were very good. However I saw a pork leg in the next to table and that it's the dish. Their beer Caru cu Bere is standard. A must.

Best Hungarian goulash ever. You need to drink the home made beer as well. Good mix of tourists and locals on an old but well preserved beautiful building.
