the fried chicken is great. other tasty dishes- oysters, asparagus, and mashed potatoes. don't let the long wait scare you aware. sit by the bar, have a drink and order some hushpuppies.
not a fan of fried food but, the buttermilk fried chicken over cheddarwaffles was pretty good. nice ambiance and attentive staff. If you can handle it, order a Paper Moon cocktail. impressive!
The fried chicken is completely overrated. But the pecan pie sundae IS TO DIE FOR!!! Ordered the fried chicken and the mussels. But highlight of my meal is definitely the pecan pie sundae!
The fried chicken and cheddarwaffles are incredible... Its just an explosion of flavor... Unbelievable... The Sundae for dessert is also scrumptious!!!
the roasted chicken for two (only on Sunday nights) is comfort food as it should be. it also answers Napoleon's question definitively: chickens do NOT have large talons.
Really exceptional food, service, atmosphere. One of my favorite "New Brooklyn" restaurants, hands down. Duck meatloaf and pecan pie sundae are both killer.
Try the brown butter, corn, and mushroom linguine-auced in a rich slurry of brown butter and cornmilk, which pools at the bottom of the plate, where it's soaked up by feathery chanterelles.
This place is excellent. Brooklyn standards 9/10...rest of the country standards 11/10. Service was pretty slow, but food and drink were worth the wait.
Wow. This place is stellar. Brook trout and duck meatloaf were both spectacular. Chicken liver pate with cherries is a must if u have a taste for it. This could be a regular stop.
The restaurant signatures are fried chicken and savory cheddarwaffles. Drench the plate with maple syrup and order the pecan pie sundae for dessert. [Definitive Fried Chicken List] Read more
If you can only order one thing from their menu, you MUST get the pecan pie sundae. It's happiness in a glass. Cozy atmosphere and great staff - one of the best restaurants in Brooklyn.
Great food. Wait staff accommodating. Lousy bar service-a bit on the uppity side-no need for that. Please acknowledge your patrons for without us you'd not be able to pay your rent! Loud atmosphere.
Pancakes, eggs and pecan waffles are delicious. Pork chop looked good. Remember to get your free mimosa or Bellini @brunch. The waiters won't ask you about it.
In creating the menu for Brooklyn’s Buttermilk Channel, Doug Crowell worked with designer Gabriele Wilson to develop a graphic mascot for the restaurant that evokes a sense of history.
Dog-friendly! They are chill about your dog being next to you outside as long as the dog is on the other side of the barrier. Duck meatloaf is awesome.
