The Italian is awesome. Finally a good sandwich place in DC. I've waited years for a place like this. Very fresh and a great combo of sauces...the mayo, bubs vinaigrette, and homemadehoagie relish.
Bub's Italian hoagie is one of the best in the area: Genoa salami, prosciutto, capicola, pepperoni, aged provolone, arugula, roma tomatoes, hoagie relish, mayo, Bub’s vinaigrette & pecorinoRomano.
This small family-run joint is known for its Italian hoagie. That being said, anything on the menu, from the beef brisket to the chicken Parm, will blow you away…and then will make you take a nap. Read more
As a Philly-area native, this is about as close to a real hoagie and cheesesteak as you can get! Bub and Pop's is a perfect lunch spot. You won't leave hungry; their sandwiches are huge!
They have the best sandwiches and chips in Virginia and DC. Everything on the menu is amazing. My only complaint is that I spend too much money from going there all the time and i eat too much.
I suggest you try the Italian Hoagie. It's the best of the bunch, as far as I can see it. They are all delicious though. And really fresh. The chips are good, too. Nice atmosphere and great location.
Italian (maybe ask for light on sauce) and Brisket are fantastic. The roast pork also looks/smells fantastic. Homemade pickles are good too and large enough to share.
Great sandwiches - try the Italian or the brisket. The clam chowder is also a solid option, kind of a mix between Manhattan and New England styles (plus bacon!).
I'm sorry, this place isn't that great. Sometimes DC people have a hard time spotting good food. If you want a real sandwich go to Ike's Place if you're ever in San Francisco.
