When birding, make sure to visit the Geelbek, Seeberg and Abrahamskraal. Wader activity and presence is dependent on season and tides. Plan Seeberg and Geelbek visits around tides.
Small entry fee, but well worth it. Suggest asking to park inside, for more secure parking, at no extra cost.
For those that enjoy solitude, arrive in the early morning, on sunny days it gets quite full in the garden area. Sundays also tend to be a bit noisy at times. Well worth paying for yearly membership.
Can get crowded in the lower parts of the garden, but a short walk can usually lead one to a more tranquil environment in nature.
Get there early on weekends, as hides often become packed by mid morning. Great place to encounter Malachite Kingfishers.
