Interesting shows, great beer list, shitty men's room. Everything I've come to love about small theatre in LA! I still mis the old Evidence Room, but the place still has a vibe. Lots of there there.
Small venue with a loud sound system. Good selection of reasonably priced beer on tap and in bottles. If you get hungry, there's a solid taco stand on the SE corner of Beverly and Alvarado.
The venue's residencies features some great up-and-coming bands. My favorite part of the venue is its photo booth, where many a picture has been drunkenly taken by my friends and me. Read more
The first music venue I went to in LA. Feels like your friend's basement. Lots of good beer behind the bar, a photobooth in the back, and a great outdoor area in the way back.

Cool indie space. Multiple rooms to hang out in. Theater has seating to back, open floor to front. Get there early if you want to sit for the show. Then slap yourself.
if you're looking for cocktails, find the giant upside down 'cocktails' sign, walk past it and through the exit, because you won't find any here. they only serve beer and wine.
Really loved this venue and very impressed by the sound quality-- the acoustics in here are AMAZING! Bar is reasonably priced but they only serve wine and beer.
Coolest music venue out there. Their Monday night residencies consistently have great line ups of up and coming bands. Crowd is always hot and everyone is here because they love music. My second home!
This venue has great sound! Like the Troubadour, it's all wood ceilings & walls. This makes for acoustics! They also have a plethora of beer & wine selections!
