- Kolika The Queen of EverythingDecember 9, 2016My SO had the green curry and I had the fancy cakes(which are SO BIG you likely only need one), and both were delicious. The neighborhood is violently Portlandia, but the food's worth it.
- Blake HoldenJuly 18, 2020Beautiful setting in the heart of KC. I’m a native here and I just found this place for the first time while looking for gluten free vegan options. Such a cute store in a very cute neighborhood!
- AshleyAugust 20, 2017The 17th St was amazing, and I was told the Day After scramble was also delicious. Service was friendly but a little slow. I'll definitely be coming back
- Josh AApril 14, 2017Very tasty and definitely veggie friendly (also has carnivore fare). Salmon Benedict was awesome. Cool vibe inside and interesting breakfast cocktails.
- ᴡ McGreeJanuary 17, 2015Really well done on a switch, a year ago things were bad, but today(1/17/15) went in after 7 months away. Place looks sharp, food was once again fantastic, and service was so much better.
- Kansas CitySeptember 6, 2012Simple yet innovative beef, seafood and vegetarian entrees are served with unusual vegetables, herbs, sauces and sides.
- After ascertaining that Lauren was working, we ordered the coffee, and it was wonderful. We were informed that the coffee is excellent even when Lauren is not working. Agree the French Toast is great!
- Best French toast of my life, I also recommend the Bloody Mary and ask for Tyler!
- Sure this is healthy, local, veg friendly food. But try the meat loaf. Or meat loaf Benedict on Sunday. Just sayin
- Ashley CampbellMay 30, 2011Try the biscuits and gravy...it's amazing AND vegetarian! Also the 17th Street Benedict is quite delish.
- Sara TitzellJuly 24, 2011One of the best places for Sunday brunch in the city! Try the salmon benedict!
- Chris LewmanOctober 7, 2012Try the Potato Scramble - #vegetarian scramble with garlic, spinach and feta
- Go to the Blue Bird Bistro and order the rib-eye steak, medium rare. Top it off with the apple dessert pastry and, if Lauren is working, get coffee.
- Add an egg or in-house sausage to your potatoes or biscuits & gravy...well worth it.
- Natalie GeorgeJune 21, 2010Who knew PB&J could go anywhere but the kids' menu? The Seasonal PB&J is delicious!
- Mat EllisJanuary 17, 2010Always order some french toast for the table. On the rare occasions any is leftover it tastes even better the next day.
- Jared SloanApril 7, 2012It takes about 20 minutes to get water and an additional 45 to get some eggs.
- nicholas ah-loeSeptember 17, 2012beyond excellent food, but shitty management and thus service. go anyway, just lower your expectations on some things.
- stood around being ignored by the staff for 10 minutes this morning. Might try again another day.
- Come here on a sunday morning and order the blueberry pancakes
