We pick up fish here almost every Sunday for dinner. Tonight was Arctic Char, Hake, Opah, and Cod for my wife. We always enjoy what we have found to be the freshest, most sustainable fish in the city.
A little out of the way for us, but fabulous dinner. Flounder entree was fabulous. Starters were spot on - oysters/octopus/clams/oysters rockefeller/scallops - excellent. End with banana cream pie.
Really enjoyed each course here. Salmon tartareappetizer is excellent. And the seasonal apple pie with ginger ice cream and butterscotch sauce is perfection.
Oysters, blue shell mussels, fried Ipswich clams and more join entrees like bouillabaisse, skate wing and smoked toro dashi to pretty much cover the gamut of seafood. [Eater 38 Member]
From Washingtonian: make a rez. Fruit salad, Cucumber Fizz & Pimm's cocktails, bagel & cream cheese/scallions/gravlax, poached eggs with crab and cayenne hollandaise, silver dollar cornpancakes
This Palisades restaurant has its own fish market. And a happy hour from 4-7 pm Mon-Fri has amazing drink specials. So stop in for a drink and a pound of the freshest seafood in town.
Walking by the fish market up front you’ll likely get a sense of what will be on the menu from the ice beds holding super-sweet Nantucket bayscallops or a bountiful array of oysters.
Food is excellent, but their service staff seems not welltrained at table service. This coupled with forgotten orders. Don’t be afraid to push them. Leave comments with management. They respond.
Major letdown. Salmon was raw and branzino was burnt. Heirloom tomato salad full of peppers. If they say full fish, they'll give you a filet. Seafood isn't at its finest here :(
