Only bagel shop in Redding as far as I know. Also it's right next door to Jamba Juice, the 1-2 punch to kickstart your day. So anyway, there's that.

One of two Los Gordos, but the food is actually a little different at each place. This is the one downtown, definitely the more convenient location of the two.

Cool atmo, a real chef's menu, one of the few places in Redding that's like a big city bistro. Only blemish was the steak I had was a poor cut, very fatty, but everything else was great.
A local institution! Patties are really thin so if you want your meats-worth either get a double or triple, or order a Helenburger, which is their thick patty version. Either way it's good stuff.
Best overall restaurant in Redding. Creative menu, quality ingredients, well prepared. Home cooking but not heavy and greasy. Menu changes seasonally. Shout out to the chicken & dumplings!
Best ribs in town! Brisket & pulled pork are also great. Sauces are family recipes; the hot sauce is spicy smoky heaven. Get deep-fried green beans as a side. No, seriously, do it & thank me later.
Only place in town to get Shawarma! But everything looks good here.
Good place for paninis and grilled sandwiches, thus the name. Lots of vegetarian options if you're into that sort of thing. Also, they have a juice bar, pretty cool.
They serve $1 slices after Friday night Bethel services, 10-midnight! The owner, Jeremiah is a genuinely good guy too!
Prodigious selection of pies, but also cakes, cookies, etc. even ice cream. Basically come here for a delicious monster sugar buzz.
Good hot pastrami is hard to find these days, but this place has it down! Not the fatty, stringy, tough stuff you find other places, but very lean, tender, flavorful! Tri tip is great too.
Good pizza, country atmosphere, and TVs for sports watching. Hard to beat that!
