The Culinary Institute of AmericaDecember 10, 2012Not only do tourists and Maine locals love chef and CIA alum Richard Varano’s restaurant, Billy’s Chowder House, but they once spotted a moose sitting by the bar!
We go there every march & Jan and for appetizers we get any if the chowders/ Stews ( I prefer seafood stew) and there fried chicken wings you won't be disappointed.

Brian KenyonSeptember 5, 2021Lobster stew was a bit smaller than expected and I know it's not necessarily a kids restaurant for $9 for boxed Mac n cheese not house made Mac n cheese is too pricey. Service was pretty slow.
