If you are a history buff or <3 Seattle, this is the tour for you! If you want something fun and exciting look for a ghosttour. Make sure you don't have plans afterwards, can go longer than allotted.
Fascinating and the tour guides are great! Wear layers & comfyshoes - the temperature underground is different than outside and you'll be doing a lot of walking on uneven ground. Bring your camera!
The tour was really amazing. It was made note interesting by our tour guide, who also added a flavor of comedygarnished with high quality sarcasm. Worth the 18 dollars.
Super touristy activity - explore the old city located underneath the current streets of Pioneer Square. There is a more gritty tour for 21+ over in the evenings.
Great tour, must see in Seattle! Make sure to stop at the bar for a drink first! Better chug fast though because you aren't allowed to take drinks on the tour.
If you go on the adult only tour, try and get the woman guide. If you are not that lucky, a drink (or two) before hand would greatly improve this disjointed and not particularly informative tour.
Gail is an enthusiastic, hilarious, and bawdy tour guide. See if she's leading the tour you're going on--although it might run slightly longer than anticipated (ours was ~1.5 hrs).
u can save the $2.50/ticket web surcharge by buying tickets in-person, however they don't sell tickets more than 1 day in advance. wish they mentioned that last part b4 driving there!
Takes visitors around Pioneer Square above ground and also to a hidden Seattle that now lies underground. About 25 square blocks of Pioneer Square have hollow spaces under the sidewalks.
If your passing by on Fridays, drop into the cafe for their $4 hot dog special. The hot dog is worth the money and you get a bag of Tim's chips plus drink.
Shane is hilarious! I advise not to wear heels. You'll leave never looking at downtown the same way again. Look for the patches on the sidewalks. They're skylights!
I was disappointed with this tour, it's was not entertained at all and I fall asleep walking. Don't expect something super exciting. But if you like history, you can give this a try.
Seattle's most unusual attraction: a 75-minute walking tour through historic Pioneer Square--and the forgotten streets below. It's history with punch lines!
