The name BIKINI BERLIN came from Bikinihaus, which is how locals affectionately called the building in the 1950s. The two-tier architecture reminded them of the then daring new swimwear fashion.
This place is definitely worth a visit. Probably not for buying overpriced designer clothes / fancy souvenirs, but rather to relax in the hall or one of rooftopcafes with amazing view towards the zoo
Quite hipster place but nice for take a rest (there is a chill out area at the 1st floor) and get know the latest trends in German design both of clothes and home appliances.

Forget Alexa - this is a cool shopping mall. No H&Ms or REWEs to be found in here. Shops seems to have been handpicked for their unique selections of wares. But cool products come with high prices.
