- Alex WrecksAugust 30, 2015Everything on the food menu is wonderful-pretzels, gnome burgers, pickled eggs, curry potatoes. Also get the liters of beer because you won't have to stand in line as often
- AFAR MediaJanuary 22, 2015THE place to gather outside in Hayes Valley and soak up the classic biergarten/beer garden experience. The food is delicious and the setting encourages you to talk to everyone at the communal tables. Read moreUpvoted Oct 7
- Alexa Jane BrooksJanuary 6, 2015Biergarten is a blast. Chill out with friends on a sunny day. Unique food and drink here. Get the big beer mug!
- Kevin MullettJanuary 16, 2017Love how casual this place is. It's great to just grab a beer and hang out with friends or maybe make some new ones at the communal tables
- One of my absolute faves. It can get cold in the evenings, but they have heavy-duty blankets for the real troopers--all you have to do is ask.
- Outdoor seating & high quality German beer and pretzels from the owner of Suppenküche. German beer so fresh you can actually smell the noble hops.
- I was here yesterday! Delicious bratdog, frankfurter, beet salad, and banana knot. It got a little chilly, but they have stacks of wooly blankets. So much fun.
- Brian BSeptember 1, 2017Cool spot for a quick (and good) beer. Great outside vibes in a prime location. Lots of reasonably priced German bites to keep you fueled, too.
- Graham SiegelApril 11, 2016Great beer, great food. The brat and potato salad are on point. Was busy, but not overcrowded on a sunny Sunday.

- Great beer and food (love pretzel with horseradish, egg sandwich, pickles veggies, and daily burger). Get there early for a table and before the sun sets.
- ToryBurchJune 25, 2013Located in the trendy Hayes Valley neighborhood, this raucous outdoor spot serves up enormous pretzels, bratwurst and other traditional German foods that can't be beat.
- Russell Allen EsmusAugust 1, 2014This is definitely a place to be "seen." If there is a line it could be an hour wait or more. If I see a line, I just get a beer from Grove St. Market and sit out at Alamo Square park.
- Eugenia KuydaFebruary 6, 2015A perfect beer garden with great beer and surprisingly good food. We enjoyed Weihenstephaner Original Lager, it's really good here... Read more
- StephanySeptember 9, 2018They provide blankets when it gets chilly. Even if there is a line, it’ll move fast.
- Jenny JAugust 4, 2017Great place, but VERY long lines! Either you get a big beer and accept that it's warm by the time you're half-way, or get a small and stand in line for way too long.
- Brian AbadAugust 8, 2014Chill spot to grab a beer and soak up the cool SF weather. Great beer selection with some good food places in the surrounding area.
- ClandestineDrinkerAugust 14, 2019Love the burgers as well as the ginormous beers. This is one of the best places to play hooky on a sunny day.
- Zack SheppardJune 13, 2015Pretzel everything!!! Get the bratwurst in a pretzel bun and the standalone pretzel and you'll be pretzeled-out.
- Lears FoolSeptember 21, 2015Legit German options, and served in appropriate vessels. (The liter is just double the cost of a liter, so get 2 half liters to try something different.)
- Joey CombsJanuary 20, 2016Not the most authentic German place in the Bay Area, but their currywurst was on point. Get the pretzel too!
- Johanna EvansOctober 22, 2011Get all the beer you think you party may have. Once you go through the line and sit down, they make you go outside and start over if you want anything else.
- This is the most authentically Bavarian biergarten I've ever been to in the United States. The worst part about it are the lines (which are not authentic). Everything else is great.
- Ashley RoseMarch 12, 2017Long line to get in but once your through the gates enjoy a stein in the sun and a pretzel!
- JackSeptember 13, 2014Really good beer, really good food. Really cold but so is the rest of San Francisco. And they do have blankets.
- Pavan KulkarniJuly 31, 2016Best place to hangout with friends , Beers are good and get the deviled eggs and pretzel.

- Kenneth SSeptember 5, 2013There are not enough places like this in the city where you can enjoy a beer outside on a nice day.
- Great outdoor space with the awesomeness of Suppenkuche, but kinda expensive for hot dogs and beer.

- Review BotMarch 13, 2020The feeling is somewhat like a German Biergarten, but the devil is in the detail and those are missing. The food is alright, but not everything is really common in Germany. Drinks could have a larger
