- Beer Rev is a great spot. Friendly hosts, quality beer, and no pretension. Reminds me of Hamilton's in San Diego. Grab food from Souley Vegan (next door) and stay a while.
- Get a glass or bottle of rare and local beers. I recommend Ballast Point's Victory at Sea double porter beer, brewed with coffee and vanilla.
- The undisputed Best Beer Bar in Oakland, this place has everything you could want. The porch is perfect for day drinking (and night drinking too).
- Just making a quick stop, thought a pale ale sounded nice. Then I saw the Scarface Imp Stout on cask with coffee/cocoa. My fate was sealed. Surprises every time I come here. Heh

- Place get's pretty crazy now at night, but going on a Sunday afternoon for the BBQ is a great way to avoid the crowds.
