Was here this August for an event. Amazing view of the Brooklyn Bridge and fairly large bar - doesn't get too crowded. Had a great time there. Definitely going back next time I'm back in NYC!
A place to hang out on the beach (yes, there is sand) with the Brooklyn Bridge and Brooklyn Skyline. Great beer and mixed drinks, fun crowd. There are ping pong tables and other games to play too.
Though a bit hard to get to (making it the perfect opportunity to Uber), Beekman pays off with sand to sink your feet in to while you watch boats go by in the East River and enjoy your drinks.
The waterfront property also has foos, pong, pool, and a life-size chess board. Of course, there's also plenty of craft beer and snacks like bratwurst and La Frieda burgers. Read more
Where's the craft beer? Staring at beers owned by macro brews? Beer Garden??!! lovely view, seems like tasty treats, good atmosphere expected a bit more! If I were a cocktail person I'd be set
just came here for my roommates birthday and there was a "privet event" and the manager Liz was so incredible and nice, she set up our own area for the birthday and helped up with anything we needed!!
It's time to drink outside: This outdoor drinking spot in the South Street Seaport reopened for the season on Saturday. It's outfitted with a beach, fire pit and Ping-Pong tables. Read more
The best things about Beekman aren't the sand or its gorgeous view of downtown NYC. It's the fact that they serve the greasiest of fried foods for your 5 PM munchies.
Water Taxi Beach is a wonderful way to start your summer weekend. Grab a few friends, get a few drinks (or a pitcher of 'em), + get some sand between your toes!
Go here on the earlier side, before the sun crosses over the pier 17 barn. And bros, don't squad up on a white couch with your team, all wearing shades. Not the best look for this venue.
With more space, way better views, fake sand, and equally mediocre food, it's not clear why people would go to the Frying Pan over here. It's the perfect weekend outdoor day drinking spot.
If it's sunny and warm, an awesome way to go from downtown to Brooklyn to midtown and back...the free passes didn't hurt, so I can't say how much the cost is...but worth it in fun and sun alone!
This beer garden has no bottles and only 4 beers on tap. This is not a beer garden or even a place to come drink beer. Other than the incredible view of the Brooklyn Bridge, this place is one to avoid

Get the chicken wings. They're the best I've ever had. On a recent early Friday evening, there was salsa music playing in the beach portion and everyone was dancing.
