Grab a hunk of cheese (you can't go wrong with the 4-Year Flagship), then head up B'way to Maison Kayser for a baguette (among NYC's best). Go make sandwiches in Madison Square Park. #FLATIRONMASHUP
The mac and cheese has a lot of flavor and none of that fake easymac ish. I would get the small and get a salad to balance the heaviness. Or just eat the large like I did because what's health?
You can get the grilled cheese any way you like it (even with mac and cheese inside), but we recommend keeping it simple with Beecher’s Flagship cheddar. Read more
Some of the best handmade small batch cheese in NYC. The Flagship 15 mo. aged cheese is creamy and delicious, but the four year aged Flagship is truly outstanding!
Village Voice is proud to welcome Beecher's to the 2014 Choice Eats food fest! http://bit.ly/1cRzdNV. Dine on tasty food upstairs or perhaps wander down to the cellar--or "The Cheese Cave"
We had the Mac and cheese, which is one of the best I've ever had in my life (very rich), flagship tomato soup which was delish, and fig and cheese sandwich which was perfect blend of sweet and cheesy
My overall experience was great. Tho for me a grilled cheese is buttered and put on an actual flat top grill, this is not the case here. Its more of a panini press here which for me isnt as good
Mac and cheese is made with penny. They don't try and do anything fancy with it except use tasty cheese which is a nice change of pace from all the variations out there.
I used to be skeptical of the grilled cheese & tomato soup lunch. Now, thanks to Beecher's, I'm all about it. (Make sure you get the smoked turkey sandwich!)
Filled with Beecher's Flagship cheese, a super-rich variety similar to Vermont cheddar, which is made in house. The nice thing about this sandwich is that it's not exceptionally greasy.
The cheese at Beecher’s is made with premium milk from local herds just south of Albany. You can also pick up some Hot Bread Kitchen Lavash while you’re here!
