The West Village outpost of Bar and Books has a posh selection of literature, an astute whiskey menu, and a long list of cigars. Celebrities stop in from time to time to enjoy a 60-year-old scotch.
Very unpretentious and unique place in the city. If you're hankering for a cigar, a whiskey and are with good company, this is a good place to end the evening.
Great atmosphere, good conservations, subtle background music, cigar selection is decent, but scotch, rum & bourbon pairing make it a great venue. Alex and Julie are the bet wait staff.Get there early
Really surprised to see wine from the Finger Lakes region! Food was great; try the Branzino for a light, flavorful dish before a night out on the town.
Can't say enough about how great this place is for a cigar and scotch, only drawback is the inside is quite smoky (not great ventilation), so I recommend grabbing a table outside to catch up
In honor of the Tribeca FilmFestival, try the "Blush Blush", a light, bubbly blend of BOMBAY SAPPHIRE® Gin, St-Germain™ Liqueur, Campari®, citrus foam, and club soda.
Get a Bar&Books stogie and ask the bartender for a scotch/whiskey recommendation. Hands down best cigarlounge in NYC, and vintage Bond movies seals the deal.
A library inspired theme makes this place a natural choice to enjoy a cigar and excellent scotch. If you're not into scotch however, try a Dark and Stormy.
Hands down the best cigar and scotchbar in nyc. All the others are overrated because this one actually has girls that also go. Plus you have to love the red velvet.
Made a res that was confirmed by email and when we arrived we were told that they didn't "have it on the books" and that it happens all the time. Hostess was rude and didn't do anything to help
