    After the bakery closes, they leave leftover (and still soft!) baguettes and other breads in a basket in the vestibule of Balthazar proper next door... for free!

    Pastries and sweets are scrumptuous but, and guess what, i'm terribly sorry to say that "la baguette" bread lacks of taste. Hint from a bread-hardcore-lover french guy : "laissez la pĂąte reposer plus"
