we offer a selection of savory pastries, flat breads, bread puddings as well as soup, salads and sandwiches all made fresh daily using the seasonal offerings of our local farms. every building block of our savories menu is made in house as well- including artisan breads, mayonnaise, soup stocks, dressings and chutneys, so you can be sure that you’re getting the most flavor in every bite.

Sandwiches

we make our sandwiches fresh daily using our hearth baked breads, premium quality & sustainably farmed meats & housemade mayonnaise. all sandwiches come with a pickle and many can be served hot or cold. add a side salad or cup of soup to your sandwich for $3.25. unless specified, sandwiches are available on seeded whole wheat or old fashioned white bread.

the attention we pay to every step of the bread making process is what makes our hearth-baked breads so good. every loaf is hand-rolled or braided and our steam-injected oven assures a perfect crust. our french and ciabatta breads have a creamy, open crumb and our sourdough breads, chewy and delicious, offer a pleasant tang. on fridays, we bake traditional challah: hand braided, golden and sweet with egg and honey. All of our bread is baked the day it’s sold. If warm bread is your weakness, stop by or call & ask about the daily production schedule.

The Daily Loaf

Made from our french dough, a wholesome white bread suitable for your daily peanut butter sandwich or perfect morning toast.

Harvest Round

Our multi-grain loaf, with flecks of grains and a touch of honey. (available wednesday – sunday) .

Semolina Sesame

High-gluten durum wheat lends this sesame seed encrusted white bread a fine, chewy crumb and a crackly crust- try it as a sesame stick to really experience a the higher proportion of delicious crust to crumb. the yummiest buttered toast you’ve ever had. a staff fave (available daily) .

Challah

Traditional jewish egg bread, sweetened with honey. our braided loaves are available with poppy seeds, sesame seeds, or plain. (available friday after 11am) .

Seeded Sandwich

This hearty seeded levain is largely whole wheat & and excellent keeper. it’s a tall pan-baked loaf with a softer crust great for pb&j. come after noon to have it sliced (available wednesday – sunday) .

Baguette

Classic French loaf with lacy crumb and a golden, crunchy crust. (Available daily usually after 10:30) .

Buns & Rolls

Harvest roll-whole grain with a touch of honey this is a soft but hearty roll (not avail tuesday) . hearth roll- the perfect crusty french white roll; soft white- buttery and pure white, these are our bread of choice for tuna sandwiches and sure make for a great burger bun; morning bun- you’ll find these in the pastry case each morning. substantial harvest dough is fortified with currants and a steamed, chewy crust.

Our harvest loaf loaded with sweet currants. great for breakfast. (available saturday & sunday) .

Old-Fashioned Sandwich

Our french dough baked as a pan loaf- it makes a killer grilled cheese! come after 1:00 to have it sliced (available tuesday – saturday) .

This dense seeded levain is largely whole wheat & and excellent keeper. it is hand-shaped and beautifully scored- making the perfect dinnertime addition. (available wednesday – sunday) .
