Fun place with good bar food and a good staff. Has a nice long bar serving craft beer. They have bands certain nights. The parking sucks. It was a little pricey for forest hills. Nachos were great
Great brunch menu, and the fact that you have the option to pick from so many diff kinds of alcohol beverages instead of keeping it only to mimosas and bloody marys is a sweet perk!
The Flying Pig is new to FH - we decided to go for Mother's Day brunch. The food was very good (peanut butter banana french toast...yum) and the waitress was friendly. We woudl definitely go back.
Think that I ordered the wrong things for lunch -- a half dozen oysters with a grilled cheese and soup. Not interesting enough to warrant returning unless I'm free for dinner there
Despite all the criticism I found The Flying Pig agreat addition to the area. It's a nice place with an interesting Pub menu. The flagship burger was large and surprisingly good. I'd return.
Tasted the duck confit and snails have to say it was yummy :) such a great atmosphere and great selection on beers , love the brunch menu ;) we will be back ;)
It's a nice play to sit at the bar and grab a drink. Not for sitting down for dinner on a Friday night. Unless you want to scream in order to have a conversation.
Service was decent, the pork chop entree and the meatballs for an appetizer were both excellent. The food came quickly and cooked properly. Too pricey but all around fine fare.
Problem is the bar tending staff has no clue what they have in stock. I asked for a rye whiskey and was handed a menu of the type of whiskey (no where was the rye even listed) limited menu for food.
Baked oysters and jalapeño mashed potatoes were great! Service is OK and music is way too loud for dinner time. And not enough wine in my damn glass. But Ok place overall.
I don't know what everyone is talking about with the bad service and non-knowledgable staff but sit at the bar and be seen by Bree or Rob; they'll take care of you.
Have tried this place several times. Had fairly high expectations after the first visit, but it's been disappointing since. Food was disgusting and the service was lacking.
Bland food, slow service and gave our orders away to another party! $11 for FOUR ikea size meatballs is outrageous! Their alcohol and bill were the only items that they had given us the quickest.
The hostess does suck. No personality. The bar tender was cool. Didnt catch her name. But heard two other coworkers talking badly about a past customer not tipping them properly. Unprofessional.
Such a horrible restaurant. The hostess looked like she was bored and couldn't be bothered. We had to ask 4 times for a server. Useless staff and a subpar menu. Go to Fridays or McDonald's
Hotspot in Forest Hills, Queens with a great selection of craft beers, wine by the glass and bottle, inspired cocktails and food you want to come back for
