Take the whale trip in July and August if you want to see blue whales. We've consistently seen good-sized groups of them each day. I saw 12 blue whales on a trip last week!

Go the the Long Beach aquarium, but leave the stroller in the car. Plenty of room for little dudes to run and allows pops an extra hand to have a cold one. Yup, brews at the aquarium.

Don't plan an entire day there. If you don't have kids, you'll see everything in a couple hours. Fun times though.

Check out the Lorikeet Forrest - for $3 you can get a cup of nectar and the birds will climb all over you for a taste of it.
