The food here is delicious, and the service is even better. Had the Filet du Poisson Gulf Pontchatrain. Flaky, buttery, and the crabmeat was flavorful. The bread pudding for dessert was outstanding!
Have the Oysters Rockefeller and make sure you request a tour after your meal. Our waiter Alvin was great and took his time giving us the tour and the history of the building.
Since 1840 this New Orleans Ivón is been serving amazing food. I would try the oysters Rockefeller, the alligator bisque is to die for, The Sazeraccocktail is amazing.
If looking for an experience dessert, nothing can go wrong with cherries jubile (brandy flames cherries with ice cream). Just prepare you phone to film it.
Oldest restaurant in the US, 177 years and still the original family. Kinda pricy but the food is great and worth it for the history. Make sure to check out the wine cellar.
Est. 1840. Created Oysters Rockefeller in 1899, which were named after John D. Rockefeller, then the richest man in the world, as the dish was promoted as the richest dish in the world.
Great soup, duck, and bread pudding in the fall '17 prix fixe lunch. Tour after the meal was nice, awesome to see the still-sealed vintage liquor collection.
Most amazing service I have ever had in a restaurant, water glasses were always full. Food was very good and even though we were a large group they served us quickly and at the same time.
Outstanding service, decor and great room for private parties. Wedge salad (Roquefort) good but bleu cheese was heavy; grilled corn (mais) WAY too salty. Shrimpremoulade and desserts were great.
Great food. Decent service. Ran out of bread at 8:30pm on a Monday night. You have to get the Baked Alaska. Make sure you let them know how many people are eating it because they adjust the portions.
The most beautiful and historic restaurant in the city. Ive been coming for 22 years. Ask for James...same waiter for my family for 26 years. Get oysters foche and Rockefeller. Trout with crab is divi
Service is first class. Baked Alaska for 2 but more like 4. Went for Brunch on a Sunday & the menus was slightly different. Cool old school atmosphere and ask for a tour.
Awesome $20 three course lunch at this historic restaurant. There's nothing else like it in America. It's food and hospitality are remnants of a more elegant era.
Fantastic, upscaledinner in NOLA. The Chateaubriand is incredible! And try the Oysters Rockefeller. Not a fan of the fries, but no matter. This place is great!
Café Brulot Is the epitome of this restuarants old-world, over-the-top grandeur. A server ladels flmaing brandy-spiked coffee down a spiral of orange zest into a silver bowl heated by a ring of fire.
Lunch time is perfect. No crowd. Paul is an excellent server. The 'old school' servers give you that 'olden days' vibe. Can't beat the $20 lunch special with .25 martinis!
