This is one of the worst airlines I've ever used. Their website says a thing and at the check in they'll do another. They have a baggage embargo and won't let you know even if you check-in in advance.
While I normally fly United, due to American’s lack of direct flights into Denver; I thoroughly enjoyed this airline and trip. Smiles, seating, and better planes.

Commenting on someone’s tip. All airlines change seats without your discretion. If they have to swapplanes for a different model then that happens. Don’t make it seem like only AA does this.
Don't expect much from these people. This is the worst customer service I've ever experienced from an airline. The CEO of this airline should be ashamed to front this company!
