Without question my favorite hotel in Chicago! Top 10 in US! Amazing service, food, night life and rooms. Decor is a magnificent design of the old Ambassador Hotel meeting the new avant garde!

The hotel has a real chic style, with its monochrome design and confortable and modern furnitures. The rooms are not all so big but the lobby and the library bar will make you enjoy it!

Simply beautiful. Great for people who like contemporary design. Outstanding service and amenities. Location is subpar to Trump but don't let that stop you. The PUBLIC is hot (for now)

I stayed here on an Amtrak voucher after missing my once a day train connection. With no notice from Amtrak. They quickly met my hypoallergenic room needs, & gave me a complimentary gift of prosecco!

Lots of faux fur, candles, sofas and space. feels like you're in someones wood paneled basement circa 1978, but more stylish.

Recently changed ownership from the public hotel. Desperate need of some renovations. Carpets are dingy. Not a bad place but needs some love.

I've stayed in about 20 different Chicago hotels over the past 5 years. This one is by and far one of the best. Free wifi, free access to David Barton, amazing dining, bar and coffee and dope staff.

Don't order room service. $30 for a cup of coffee, oatmeal in a cardboard cup, banana, and a slice of something with artificial fruit filling that was called a scone. Delivered in a brown bag.

Don't expect to get any sleep - the curtains are see-through and the bed is too close to the floor. The temperature is also difficult to control. 😵😴😢

Public Express late night is abysmal. Avoid at all costs. It's akin to the premade sandwiches at second rate airports. The Pump Room however, is phenomenal.
