When visiting Amsterdam, see some of the many marketplaces. Flowers, cheese, herbs, fresh groceries – there seems to be one market for each item. 11 market places are open all year long. Enjoy!
Amsterdam’s hip and green crowd scour the market stalls at the city’s many busy markets, including Albert Cuypmarkt. The daily Waterlooplein & twice-weekly Noordermarkt have lots of secondhand stalls. Read more
The churros here is the best ever! And there r many local street food which r good here. And best part is cheap! Lots of things to buy and see. Western morning/night market.
Great market with lots of food, clothing and flower stands. I would definitely recommend going there to try some huge stroopwafles with Nutella and eat fresh seafood.
Great market for a leisurely stroll. They sell everything from fresh fish to clothes. If you come around noon, there are many food stalls from which you can buy food. Or get some typical Dutch sweets.
Awesome market place to eat and buy souvenirs. From the olives stall to the cheeses. Lots to look at. Remember to get an order of mini pancakes. So yummy!!
Must visit place during your trip to Amsterdam. All you may need is in the one place - from waffels to cheese, from klompen to hats - prices arr cheaper than in the city center shops
This market is a good combination of foods and needs. You can find in here everything you need even vegies or fabric. Fruits, waffles, pancakes, chocalate,etc.. You should visit every bench...
Stroopwaffel and little pancakes, herring, lots of energy, flowers, and in a great neighborhood (Pijp) to explore. Had a great chat with the guy selling coasters!
Has become a bit touristy but I still take guests here for their first fresh stroopwafel and poffertjes! The mediterranean stand also has some of the most amazing hummus I have ever tried!
A blocks-long street market, open Monday - Saturday, filled with Dutch food stalls selling cheese, herring, and more. Hit the "Popa Oliva" stand for Mediterranean salads galore.
Lively area with lots of choice in bars, coffe shops and restaurants. Cheap prices generally for the Netherlands. Good for fresh flowers, fish, cheapclothing (dearer than Primark!)
t is just like Turkish bazaars/outdoor markets but much cleaner and organized. You can find fruits, bicycles, cheese, fabric, furniture, records, waffles, patat, souvenir..etc for fair prices.
Stroop waffles made fresh with chocolate sauce, kibbeling fish / mussela sandwich. Good deal from the shops, though some stall owners need to warm up to customers a bit. Very cold.
Not my fav market in the city but they have a great selection of fruits, teas, spices, cheese, breads, and veggies. Check out the stores on the sidewalk part too.
The place to be to try all the Dutch delicacies: fresh, hot stroopwafels, poffertjes, herring with onion AND pickles, cheese, fried Vietnamese springrolls!
Pretty standard street market with lots of cheapclothes and random nicknacks. Get to sample local Dutch delicacies including herring, nuts, cheese, and desserts like poffertjes.
It was interesting yet If I lived in Amsterdam, I'd love it more. Great place for fresh food and vegetables but not much else. Good walk on a Sunday afternoon.
The best market in Amsterdam!! Have a fresh haring zuur met alles, buy boerkaas bij Johan, go to the Visboer ( the one in the car) in front of them is a stand where you can buy really nice french goa
Take stroll along this street market selling everything from cheese and olives to leather goods. Pop off into one of the many cafés to rest your feet with a beer.
Look for the orange juice and fruit smoothie tables set up beside the produce stands. You can always find a freshly-squeezed glass of something sweet and refreshing for about €1. Read more
Terrashangen! Loads of spices and produce, but the best thing around here are the cafes in the Eerste van de Helststraat. If you've got time to spare, check the shops in the Gerard Doustraat.
If you are here, find Peter who sells fossils and bugs. He's here only weekends. Other stands are just casual sellers. Yet it is still fun to have a look.
