I traveled in Alacati, Cesme, Izmir in Turkey in late September 2017. What a lovely little town. I was happy to catch the last glimpse of summer before it got colder.
Ahmet 🧿: You can tell they source their ingredients locally by the taste. Little overpriced for Turkish tourists, but I find it affordable and well worth it. Get the "otlu omlet", a herb/cheese omelette.
Ahmet 🧿: Hands down #1 restaurant here. Locally sourced organic ingredients, great recipes&preparation. Been here TWICE on my 3-day trip. Just order a bunch of veggie mezzes. It's hard to go wrong here.

Ahmet 🧿: Stayed here from our trip from Seattle. Amazing experience! It's next to downtown and public transport. The hotel staff are friendly. Breakfast is surprisingly delicious and one of the best in town.
Ahmet 🧿: Definitely overpriced for Turkish tourists and out-of-the-way from Alacati. You can find the same quality fish way cheaper in many other places in Cesme. But they have amazing mezes & view.
Ahmet 🧿: Got here in late September: it was really cold, cloudy and wavy as the clouds form right here. Coves like Ayayorgi were better. Also it's more expensive (20 TL/ea) than some private beaches like Sera.
Ahmet 🧿: This place is cheaper than the public beach (15TL vs. Ilica Beach was 20TL). They're still open in late September after everything in Ayayorgi cove is closed for the season. It's clean and quiet.
Ahmet 🧿: Great place to stop by and buy Mastic Jam (damla sakizi receli) in town. They got multiple flavors and the staff takes enough time to help you choose. I got multiple jars back home.
Ahmet 🧿: Surprisingly tasty espresso, as they roast their own beans. But don’t forget to get their Turkish coffee as well. Nice place to sit and enjoy with a wi-fi. Friendly staff. Negative: smokers.
