Beautiful surroundings indeed, but the layout is a bit confusing. Moreover lack of currency exchange at the entrance. Really long queue of check-in especially morning flight.
Second floor in the section before passing migrations, there are not very well known seats (this is DGAC offices). Most of them you won't find occupied.
Take a taxi from airport service .. Aprox 35-40 dollars you maybpay dont be suprise at the end of Otherwise its same price, but shouldnt be safe, chile is a safe place but only threat is by taxies.
free WIFI on the Santiago airport sucks. You maybe able to leech the Wifi from outside salon vip lounge (gate 20) using the credentials below: SSID: salon_vip Password: inter022
Last minute postcards or packages to send? There's a tiny post office branch in the atrium on the way to domestic departures. Next to Dunkin Donuts, before security.
There is a chance that your luggage gets unloaded to a random belt. We flew from Lima and one of our bags one on the Sao Paolo belt. Look around before declaring it MIA!
A functional airport & great customer service; however, it's facilities should be updated. Santiago is such a beautiful and lovely city that such an airport shouldn't be this city's "first impression"
If you’re taking a uber to or from the airport, chances are they will drop/pi up at a parking lot- but there’s usually a bus waiting (free) to get you to the terminals
No main area to shop & eat, instead things are scattered all around so you don't know what's available unless you walk around. There's much more than it seems if you can be bothered to explore.
Shitty airport. Make sure you get there after your check in / luggage dispatching starts otherwise you risk not having proper places to eat and sit. All the good stuff is past the departing gate
For LATAM Airlines, print your boarding passes and luggage tags in the self-serve monitors, then get in the “tag luggage drop” line. After that you can continue to boarding.
If you have to dispatch your hand luggage at the gate due to excess of weight and size beware that the ground workers may steal goods from your luggage before they put it into the airplane.
DONT COME!!! These people don’t deserve to have tourism. Must invest heavily on technology and modernizing the whole place. It’s an insult to any traveler and very long lines even on a Wednesday night
Preferential access is in fourth floor and connected to VIP lounge directory via immigration. However, this preferential access counter is too hard to find out.
Santiago International Airport is not huge, it's just ok. It seems that everything works pretty well, when I was returning home, there was a problem with the gate number displayed for our flight.
They are working hard to make it better but it has been a while at it - elevators that will not take you anywhere or not@atop at some levels (4) are annoying. Has the potential BUT not quite there yet
Modern airport, slow security, seems overcrowded. Sometimes quite long distances between gates for such a small airport. Many employees do not speak English.
En fila esperando a que haya un agente disponible para atender, like whaaat, nobody was there to receive tourists. And nobody was there to at least answer a question. Welcome to Chile!
