Nice view of the Empire State Building and cool place to chill after a long day. The cocktail list has nothing special.. I tried the white sangria which was ok!
The view is definitely awesome. They have the igloos to accommodate visitors for free and they lend coats too! Even though its really cold out in the roof, they have heaters too!
Go here for brunch and enjoy the cool, open air and scenicManhattanskyline from the rooftop. Come back at night for the lively crowd. The drinks are expensive but the atmosphere can be electric.
Great view, friendly staff and yummy drinks. Our server Angelica was adorable and so nice! We had a great time and will definitely be back on our next visit.
Be sure to get at least 2 hours before sunset, otherwise you won’t have a good table. Also, the level below the rooftop was almost empty, that’s another option to have great views of the Empire State
Although touristy, this venue boasts terrific views of the Empire State Building. In the winter, grab a robe and enjoy the views with added heaters and insulated seating.
Largest rooftop bar in New York City. Spectacular head-on look at the Empire State, Chrysler, NYLife ,and Met Life buildings. Off into the distance, you can see the Statue of Liberty.Open year-round.
Great view on the Empire State Building. I went there in the Winter and they had plaids and bathrobe for visitors to keep warm! Great apple ciders too !
Amazing Rooftop bar with fantastic views of the NYC skyline. Upscale decor, lots of patio bars and beautiful people. One con: Beer selection is limited to Amstel, Heineken, Stella and one other beer.
One of the douchey-ish places I have been to in NYC! If it wasn't for friends visiting out of town for the view I wouldn't step foot on the block! Wow this is my first "leave tip"
Great views. Make sure you dress warm if it's brisk outside. They have blankets to get under, but still it's quite chilly. That said, get there just before sunset and watch the city change.
Aside from the killer view, the best part about this place was the traffic jam that occurs when everyone stops at the rooftop entrance to take their official Instagram of the skyline.
What a spectacular place to have a stylish NYC night out. The roof deck of this bar is ENORMOUS and worth it for the views you have a direct view of the empire state building. I recommend you sit on
I normally don’t rate something unless it was poor (shame on me), but a gentleman named Jonathan went above and beyond at the comedy show last night. I saw many people complimenting him. A++
Amazing view. Free to get in. Drinks were pricey, but you're paying for the view. Bartenders use the jigger / pony devoutly, so don't hope for a heavy-handed pour
The guys are a bit too touchy touchy feely BUT the music was amazing. The drinks were normal but triple the price. The rooftop was the highlight of course and that’s free
Hot after-work singles party happening here on April 25th from 6:30-11:00pm. http://www.eventbrite.com/e/spring-fling-230-fifth-penthouse-meet-up-to-400-singles-in-one-night-tickets-11132081355
Open Rooftop Area and a 1st floor dance floor. All you need for an amazing night. * Used to be a kept secret…. now be ready to have some $$ on hand to get in.. or avoid the line.
I liked this rooftop bar! Yes, the drinks are expensive and the service isn't that great. But the view was amazing and on cold days they have heaters and fleece snuggies.
230 boasts one of the city's most 'lavish' and amazing vistas. Don't just take our word for it! Malaysian Shrimp Salad is to die for!! It's grilled pork, scallion, green mango and papaya. It's delish!
The crowd is mainly tourist and the outdoor picnicfurniture. The people only drank beer and water. I’m use to the past rooftop experience with top shelf liquor and bottle service. Not going back!
A touch touristy and overpriced to get up there (girls get cheaper entry), but worth the views of Empire State while having a drink. Indoor bar available if it's cold.
Worn out, old, dodgy bar. Super touristy. You can't even see Empire State Building because it's blocked by some wooden boards. There are so many better rooftop bars in manhattan.
