The Ding-Dong Lounge is dive bar perfection. Not too many Columbia kids, just exposed bricks, cheap drinks, a Ms. Pac-Man machine, a pool table, and a DJ rocking punk-y, rock-y, indie-y tunes.
A single bulb lights the pool table and they host punk acts here on the weekends, but after a few too many, join the regulars and the fun and pick up a hula hoop from the ones on the wall!
The old dive bar has hula-hoops and a pool table for active drinkers, but a killer happy hour and local punk concerts on the weekends keep regulars coming back.
This is one of NYC's best punk rock bars. Dark, loud, no TV, no jukebox (DJ's only), great bartenders and a good group of regulars. Been coming here since they opened.
The sandwiches are just as amazing as you'd expect, but it's all about the cupcakes. I mean nothing says Monday night like a bushmills and chocolate mini-cakes
even i can dig the surprisingly good mojitos and i hate those. pacman = major + a friend used to dj brit-pop & hairy 80s, it's a dark homey hole. pool table: not every shot is spatially possible.
