Weekday drink specials are hard to beat but anytime after 6 PM from Thursday to Saturday is basically a death sentence -- by frat boys or douchebags -- waiting to happen. Bouncers are pretty cool tho.
Tired of the crowd and musk of dollar beer Tuesdays? For a more relaxed bar with an extensive drink menu go outside the Step and walk up the stairs directly to the left into Kingston Hall. No regrets.
Half price beer basically all the time. Other specials as well. Good sports bar with music, beer pong and extra bars in the back when it gets overcrowded. Super awesome staff. This would be my local.
Tuesday night Dollar Beers is a blast. That is, if you can manage to wait through the line down the block and squeeze past all 20,000 other NYU students there to get to the bar.
Feeling nostalgic for your college town's bar/college in general? Then this is for you. The 1/2 price drink specials are great, there are beer pong tables, flat screens with sports + frat boys!
It's like a post college, college bar. I played beer pong here on a Sunday night and had a good time but can't see myself coming here on a Friday or Saturday night. Good drink specials though.
13S's morphed the former Telephone Bar space into a down-to-business, 28-flatscreen sports spot; the booth-lined main room's been revamped with a wood-topped bar and a brass ceiling. Read more
This place rocks. Tuesday nights they have awesome specials. The only bad thing was when I ordered a grilled cheese and they wouldn't let me choose my own bread...
A lively experience on literally any night of the week. By lively, I mean full of wasted young people fighting each other over whether beer pong is 6-cup or 10-cup.
Different happy hour every day of the week...and I think its not just til 7 or 8. Good place to get liquored up on the cheap. Beer pong too, if that's your thing.
A new sports lounge in the old Telephone Bar spot. This is straight-up wood-and-screens America. Watch something your gym teacher used to actually make you play.
I like this place, the atmosphere, staff, the food. However, the last few times I gone the publicized free WiFi has been very unreliable to non-existent. They should really check into this and fix.
Named after the AA term for hooking up with one’s sponsor, 13S's morphed the former Telephone Bar space into a down-to-business, 28-flatscreen sports spot. (opens 7/8/2010) Read more
The 13th Step is a no joke, down to business sports bar with 32 High-Def Flat Screen. Grab a seat at the 34-foot bar or sit with friends in one of the booths or get beat to a pulp by a sociopath bouncer all while sipping a ½ priced drink at Happy Hour and munching on a Pulled-Pork Stuffed Burger.
